Katy Perry, Russell Brand Spend Christmas Apart

For a couple who insists their marriage is as solid as a rock, Katy Perry and Russell Brand sure have a strange way of showing it. The 'Teenage Dream' singer and her hubby of just over a year have been fighting divorce rumors for some time now, with Russell even appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres Show show in early December to insist the two were fine.

However, that might not actually be the case, with reports surfacing over the past few days that the couple spent Christmas apart! Perry was seen cavorting in the tropical waters of Hawaii with pals on December 25. That vacation was taken sans-Brand, who was photographed in Cornwall, England, drinking at the local pub and participating in his friend David Baddiel's charity swim.

For devout Christian Katy, spending one of the most important days of the year without her supposed soulmate will understandably raise more than a few eyebrows. Just this past October, AOL Music reported that the couple were planning on spending the Christmas holiday "reconnecting" during a second honeymoon in India. Apparently, that trip was not meant to be.

well if they are not catholic its kinda understandable.

Personaly she is too hot and too young to have settled down at all.

People in their 20s who get married are usually_ divorced, screwing around, or wishing they hadnt gotten married so young by the time they hit late 30s/early 40s.

Different couples do different things. Many recovering people like Russell struggle with the holidays and find it easier to avoid festivities as much as possible. Its a rare spouse that allows their partner room to recover.
