JC Chasez Saves Baby in Freak Beach Accident

Former *NSYNC member JC Chasez is being touted as a hero today after the former boy bander rescued a baby during a strange-but-true beach accident. The singer, who was in Miami to host a private bash at the Fontainebleau hotel this past weekend, was relaxing in the sun on New Year's Day when a helicopter flew too close to the shoreline. It was then all hell broke loose.

With the high winds sending umbrellas flying through the air, people scrambled to get off the beach and shield youngsters from danger. According to New York Post's Page Six: "One parasol began hurtling toward a stroller carrying a 1-year-old baby girl. Chasez sprung into action and grabbed the umbrella before it fell onto the child."

Hotel security confirmed the close-call story to the newspaper and called JC "sweet and humble" about his good deed. We're sure the parents of the baby girl will never be able to listen to another *NSYNC song the same way again. Well done, JC!
