Demi Lovato Twitter Rant Questions God

On the heals of her recent drug and alcohol confessions, Demi Lovato still seems to be struggling with some inner demons. Last night, the 'Skyscraper' star took to Twitter to voice her frustrations with God in a late-night rant.

At about 2:00AM PST, Demi tweet-vented about her ongoing personal struggles in a rant that played out over the course of an hour. "Sometimes it seems like God just keeps throwing crap my way and I get SO angry with him," the 19-year-old singer revealed. "But there's never a doubt in my mind he's gonna pull me through it all. I know you're there God. But umm ... Really dude?" she added.

The troubled tweets continued, "He never fails to show me He's by my side though. Even in the tough times. I'm not very religious but I'm VERY spiritual and I DO believe in God. I'm not perfect or preaching! Just tweeting." Demi ended the messages on a relatively positive note, quoting a line from the Disney/Pixar movie 'Finding Nemo,' "Just keep swimming ..."

Demi was released earlier this year from a three-month stint in treatment for issues including anorexia, bulimia, cutting, depression and bi-polar disorder at age 18. She did not name what current struggles prompted the Twitter rant, but hopefully she'll be able to keep the faith in herself and pull through.

Some day people will realize that there isn't a god. They just need to believe in themselves!!!!!

This girl has absoulutely NO reason to complain. She's had a sucessful movie and singing career. There's ten million teenagers eating their hearts out for that kind of life. I'd say that God's been pretty good to her all in all. What if all of a sudden she had to live in the 'real' world instead of a sheltered Disney Fantasyland?

P.S. For all those who are complaining that she doesn't know what "crap" is, and is being melodramatic.......neither did you at that age, and I'm fairly certain you felt the same way from time to time......so cut her some slack.......hypocrisy doesn't look good on anyone................well, except maybe me.

This is a direct quote from the first line of the article "On the heals of her recent drug and alcohol confessions..." The writer does know that she used the wrong "heal" in her sentence, right? Then we have Hank posting in the comments thread referring to God as a "fairy tail guy" when I assume he meant "fairytale" LOL Ignorance is not only bliss, it's apparently contagious.

She should stop blamming her problems on some fairy tail guy and take a look in the mirror. She created her own problems. Unlke most 19 year olds she has the money to take care of them. It must be nice to be rich and blame mythical beings for your mistakes.

How judgemental you are, you show no compassion. Sadly many in world have little compassion because they dont know the Love of God. Many cold hearted people, sad.

Really sad. I know there are a lot of pressures in hollywood, hear it all the time. What about all the problems/pressures average kids have..and they dont get that big paycheck! Someone needs to let these young stars know to count their blessings. I have no problem with my daughter looking up to someone who is struggling with issues now then then but to go on and on about God, really upsets me. Maybe her life is hard (I dont know anyones who isnt) but when you KNOW there are little kids following your every word/tweet and you are making that much money because of them, I think you owe them to at least be respectful of anyones beliefs.

Does anybody proof read this drivel before it gets published? "on the heals"? Please learn to spell. It's "on the heels".

At times with difficulties, stress and sadness sometimes people get angry with God. There may be different reasons for difficulties: wrong actions, hurt by someone, others wrong actions, or natural causes. Just remember that Jesus Loves You Much and reach out to Him for Help. He gives inner Peace and will help you, be patient.
God is made known to all that seek Him with Hope and Love.
Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.
