Beyonce Has Baby: Blue Ivy Carter Born Saturday in NYC

Breaking news: Beyonce has given birth to a baby girl. As E! News reports, the superstar welcomed Blue Ivy Carter late Saturday night (Jan. 7), delivering via planned C-section at New York City's Lennox Hill Hospital.

While initial reports suggested the singer and husband Jay-Z had named the baby Ivy Blue, the online consensus now seems to be that it's the other way around. Lending credence to this notion is Gwyneth Paltrow, who took to Twitter earlier this morning to clarify.

And Paltrow isn't the only one tweeting about the momentous event. Russell Simmons congratulated the singer and husband Jay-Z early Sunday morning, followed minutes later by Rihanna.

"Welcome to the world princess Carter!" the singer tweeted. "Love Aunty Rih."

The diva's pregnancy has made headlines from the day Bey announced her baby news at the MTV VMA's this past August. Since then, Mrs. Jay-Z has been accused of faking her pregnancy bump, reportedly built a 2,000 square foot nursery in her Manhattan penthouse, been given a crystal-encrusted baby bathtub for a shower gift and, oh yeah, released four music videos and a live concert DVD. Girlfriend had one busy pregnancy!

Congrats to both Bey and Jay. We can't wait to see baby pics!

Natural or Surrogate !!! Blue Ivy Carter still belongs to them , I wish them the best Im sure that Blue is such a blessing to them .

The reason why the hospital was tight security is because they did not want people to see that Beyonce was not having the baby, exactly Ingrid Jackson is a real person this is the lady that gave birth to the baby for Beyonce & Jay Z. Think about it when Michael Jackson kids were born he did not secure the hospital like this, in fact we did not hear anything about his kids being born, but this is the reason the hospital was in such an up roar because they wanted people to think that Beyonce was having the baby. Ingrid Jackson checked in because she actually gave birth to the baby not Beyonce. Thats a dam shame.
