But the singer/actress has recently revealed that she was left livid when her record label ordered the dramatic retouching of her fuller figure on the cover of her debut album.
Hudson claimed label retouchers photoshopped her figure so drastically on the cover of her self-titled debut, that she looked as slim in the 2008 finished photo as she does now, 80 pounds lighter! The singer claims the digital manipulation was done without her permission.
Hudson recalled the first time she saw the album cover in an interview with Dateline, admitting, "It was like, 'Where is the rest of me?' They photoshopped me probably to the size I am now on that cover, but we all know I was nowhere near that. Why would you photoshop that?"
Not only was Hudson personally insulted, she thought the retouched image sent the wrong message to her fans. "To me it did not send out a good message. It did not represent me," she revealed. "Did I not just prove that talent is enough -- if I made it this far being who I am, being the size I am, the image that I am?" she asked.
