Justin Bieber: 18th Birthday Has Star Contemplating Sex, Drugs and Not Being a 'Kid Anymore'

In less than two months, Justin Bieber will become a legal adult. But the teen star insists that turning 18 on March 1 does not mean he will follow in the footsteps of so many wholesome child stars-gone-bad before him.

While he admits he is not "completely grown-up" just yet, and is "still learning" in an interview with V magazine, Bieber asks that his fans recognize that he is no longer the baby-faced 'Baby' singer he was when we first met him. "People need to know I'm not a kid anymore," he insisted.

That being said, the pop star claimed he wont be hitting the clubs anytime soon. "I'm not going to try to conform to what people want me to be or go out there and start partying, have people see me with alcohol. I want to do it at my own pace," the Biebs revealed.

Bieber, who has been going to the movies and kissing 19-year-old singer/actress Selena Gomez for the past year, went on to imply that he is still a virgin, admitting, "I don't want to start singing about things like sex, drugs and swearing. I'm into love, and maybe I'll get more into making love when I'm older." "But I want to be someone who is respected by everybody," he added.

So why isn't Bieber tempted like so many of his peers, like Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus, to explore a world of drugs, sex and rock 'n' roll? He credits his drive to be the best in the business. "I want to be successful and be great at what I do. But eventually, I want to become the best at what I do," the singing sensation explained.

"I want to be better than anybody who's ever done it. And in order to do that, I need to strive to be the best, be good to people and treat people with respect, and work as hard as I can. Because for me, I work so hard and this consumes my life -- it's not worth it if I'm not the best."
