Lady Gaga: Hair Bleaching Has Her Feeling the Burn

The old saying "beauty is pain," couldn't be more true for image-obsessed Lady Gaga this morning. The singer, a natural brunette, experienced scalp burns while bleaching her famous blonde strands late yesterday. Ouch!

"Bleaching my hair! Scalp burning like a champ," Mother Monsters tweeted to her fans last night (Jan. 11). "A real blonde loves a peroxide shot."

An hour later, Gaga took to her Twitter again with a painful dyeing "tip" for fans looking to lighten their own locks. "NOTE TO BLEACHED BLONDES WHO ARE TONING: do not fear the sting of toner!" wrote the singer. "Wait five minutes and it's just so painful your scalp will numb."

Hair scares are nothing new to the diva. In March of last year, Lady Gaga revealed she was actually going partially bald because of her repeated chemical treatments. When speaking to PEOPLE Magazine, LG admitted she missed her natural hair color when she "gets a chemical haircut because my blonde hair is falling out."
