Life as a musical superstar isn't all just fun and glamour. Despite the lavish existence most famous musicians lead, at the end of the day ... they're just people, too. And like most goodhearted folk, when tragedy strikes, many celebrities spring into action to help save the day. For some stars, that means donating money to a charity in need, or endorsing a good cause. But for others, being a do-gooder is more of a hands-on job. Read on for the most harrowing tales of celebrity heroism -- from the singer who saved two children from a raging fire, to the rapper who talked a suicidal man off a building's ledge!

Garth Brooks is a wonderful man. He visited my nephew who got horribly burned all over his body (as well as inside injuries)he took him to his concert and had him backstage and loaded him down with gifts and did NOT do it for publicity! We only knew of it because we are family.

Garth is the worlds greatest performer. I Saw him with The Sun Valley Summer Symphony in Sun Valley, Idaho
in 2010. He is down to earth and a very caring important man!

who cares, everyday people who arent in the business of saving lives all the time, do remarkable things. why give people who have everything even more air time?

Because someone like this could simply walk away, as could anyone else. However he has allot more to loose, if he so much as burns a finger tip it could cost him more than you make in a lifetime or it could set back or even cause a charity event to be cancelled, maybe one that would help more people that are in need of what this MAN can provide. I would bet you wouldn’t go in a flaming house to save a stranger, I could be wrong but is that big wills style. We will never know because if you walked away no one would know, if you rescued children from a burning house I think people would read about it. I hope someday I read Big Will saved the day, I won't hold my breath though!
