Adam Lambert has done some soul searching following his recent arrest in Finland for drunken sparring with his boyfriend, Sauli Koskinen. Glambert, as fans call him, has admitted that the less-than-glamorous incident made him take a good look at himself and do some growing up.

Lambert and his Finnish partner's night out in Helsinki, Finland on Dec. 22 turned ugly when the pair began fighting in a bar and got kicked out by management. When the altercation continued on the street, the police arrived and the couple was arrested.

One month later, the 'Better Than I Know Myself' singer admitted that the embarrassing incident actually helped him, well, get to know himself a little better. During an interview on 'The Ellen DeGeneres' show Adam explained, "We had too much to drink, we screwed up. There was no injuries, no violence; it was more just childish, foolish messiness."

The 29-year-old 'American Idol' star took full responsibility for his actions, saying, "I was a little irresponsible and I think what I learned from the experience was that I owe it to myself, to my loved ones and to my fans to be a little more adult and pull it together. My New Year's resolution was like, 'OK, we're cleaning up the act' ... I think the universe always sends you wake-up calls."

The singer went on to reassure his fans that there is no trouble in paradise with Koskinen, who was in the audience during the interview. "Relationships are work and I'm so lucky to fall in love with a great partner. Everybody has their ups and down, things happen [and] when you add alcohol to a situation, things can get out out control."
