Demi Lovato is no stranger to very public break ups and breakdowns. But the singer has announced that in a bid to lead a more private existence, she will no longer share details from her personal life via Twitter. That's right, Lovato has quit the popular networking site and her 5.6 million followers -- at least for now.

While her @ddlovato account remains active, Demi posted a message to her Twitter account revealing her plans to take an indefinite break from updating her page. "Twitter break. It's for the best actually. Who allows me to have this thing anyways?!!! I just get myself in trouble! Haha. Anyway... BYE!" she wrote on Jan. 21. "Can't please everyone," she posted just moments earlier.

While remaining vague about what kind of "trouble" she has gotten herself into, Demi may be alluding to her recent Twitter rants including one about God making her "SO angry" for "throwing crap" her way and another about her alleged Wilmer Valderrama breakup.

Over the weekend (Jan. 21), the 19-year-old caused quite a stir after a racy photo of her baring a lacy black bra while provocatively straddling a male pal surfaced online. Maybe in light of recent events, it's best the singer on-the-mend lay low before the pressures of life in the limelight stifle her recovery.

Demi spent three months in treatment from the end of 2010 until the beginning of 2011 for emotional and mental health issues including cutting, eating disorders, depression and bi-polar disorder. She recently confessed that she also struggled with drug and alcohol abuse in the past.
