According to Star, Gwen, 42, and Gavin, 46, have been in and out of marriage counseling in a bid to save their relationship, and insiders say the Bush frontman's repeated dishonesty is largely to blame. "He's just not been honest with her about his past," a source allegedly told the magazine.
Two years into his marriage to the No Doubt leading lady, Gavin infamously confessed that he had fathered a child, model Daisy Lowe, now 22-year-old, with songwriter and designer Pearl Lowe. The marriage subsequently suffered a big blow from the scandal.
Five years later in 2009, male cross-dresser Peter Robinson, better known as Marilyn, revealed that he had a fling with Rossdale before his marriage to Gwen. The rocker later confirmed the reports, branding it as an experimental phase of his life. Shortly after, rocker Courtney Love came forth with the claims that she and Gavin carried on a sexual relationship while he was dating Gwen. Love told talk show host Howard Stern that Gavin was cheating on Gwen with her "and a few other people."
"Gwen often wonders what other secrets Gavin is hiding. It's getting harder and harder for her to go through the motions with a man she sometimes feels like she doesn't even know," a source told Star. Additionally, Gwen's successful career has apparently become a source of tension as Gavin's career wains. "When they got together, it was Gavin who had the big career," the insider claimed. "But now that the tables have turned and Gwen is more famous than Gavin and that's "been a really hard journey for him."
Gwen and Gavin met in 1995 while their bands were on tour together, and were married in 2002. Together they have two sons, Kingston, 4, and Zuma, 3.
