Jessica Simpson: No Swearing Around Her Baby Bump!

Jessica Simpson may have a case of "pregnancy brain" -- the odd phenomenon that causes expectant women to slightly lose touch with their previous rational way of thinking. How else could you explain Jess' recent proclamation that swearing is banned around her baby bump for fear it could affect her unborn child?

According to Ryan Seacrest, "Jessica Simpson has allegedly banned 4-letter words from coming near her midriff," the DJ shares. "Apparently Jess has heard babies can hear everything while inside the womb, and doesn't want her kid exposed to any naughty language. They might be able to hear everything, but I'm pretty sure the kid doesn't have a firm grasp of the English language!"

Pregnancy brain may be the cause of Jess' lack of good judgement, but then again ... this IS the woman who didn't know Chicken of the Sea was tuna back in the day ... so, perhaps having a bun in the oven has nothing to do with her newest lapse in common sense.

Say what you want about Jessica, but she's nothing if not entertaining! Since announcing her baby news last fall, Simpson has made us smile with her candid admissions about pregnancy flatulence as well as her detailed accounts of wacky mommy-to-be cravings. Girlfriend has no filter ... and we love her for it!

Not so crazy to me!

So many parents wait until the child is 1-2yrs old, learning how to speak, imitating the words of others around them, and dropping F-bombs and other four letter words in public. It isn't until then, that adults begin trying to break this habit in children. It also isn't until then, that parents start telling others around them to watch the language in front of the children, and using swear jars, making people donate every time they use bad language.

Even if Jessica's child can't understand what's being said by others, its still good for Jessica to get into the habit, of not using bad language, or letting others use bad language around her. This way, when her child is born and gets to be a few years old, Jessica herself will have already broken the habit, and others around her will know a head of time not to speak that way around her child.

Break the habit now, don't wait till the kid is already dropping f-bombs, to try and end it later! Sounds Kind-a-smart to me!

Some people's kids curse them out in public, and they just let the kids get away with any kind of behavior. The kids in my family could never get away with that! I could never get away with that growing up, I cursed at a teacher once at school, and I got in so much trouble when I got home, from both my parents. Jessica's laying down rules for her kid early, and people wanna complain about that, but I like it! Her head is in the right place!!!!

Not exactly known for having more than two active brain cells, this girl should stay indoors and away from the world if she truly expect the universe to revolve around her and bow to her ridiculous rantings.

Rewind 40 to years ago n . . . the medical profession was just then circulating the new theory that, in most circumstances, children with better nutrition had better mental capacity in life. AMAAAAZING!!! It could be proven. Then came music for the unborn during pregnancy and calm surroundings with soft lights and music in delivery rooms and nurseries. Shut the f... up !! We're trying to have a calm, sane, intelligent kid here!!! Someone less likely to kill or jack you . . . or run for office.

I think Jessica is showing more sense than usual. Now if she'll just keep the rule about bad language she might be onto something. You can't make people not speak if they talk like jerks, but you can cut them out of your life very easily and I hope that's what she does. People who think swearing is a right they need to exercise anytime they want are incredibly stupid and not a good influence for anyone. Walk away from people who are disrespectful Jess. You'll find yourself among a much smarter and nicer circle of friends.

Only trashy people spew out curse words repeatedly. They think it makes them look tough. Just looks at all the spook rappers. They are disgusting baboons on stage.

yeah, because nobody used profanity before those rappers came along right? and calling african americans spooks and baboons only makes you look like the one who is trash.

They called rappers spooks and baboons, you're the one that racially classed them as African Americans. I believe Eminem is a rapper and he's a white dude.

If you've got goofy rules about what you'll "allow" around you.... stay away from other people. No one has to adhere to your demands, unless you're paying them well.

At least white women know who their baby's daddy is. More than you can say for women of color.

I think Scientologists (and some non-Scientologists, too) believe that the unborn baby hears and remembers what is said by or near the mother, and that can have an adverse effect later in life?
