Madonna, Britney Spears Duet: Have the Icons Teamed Up for an 'M.D.N.A.' Collaboration?

While Madonna may think Lady Gaga's work is "reductive," she's always been a big fan of one of her other pop queen successors -- Britney Spears. Now, rumor has it Madge has tapped Brit Brit for a duet on her forthcoming twelfth studio album 'M.D.N.A.'!

According to an image of a leaked 'M.D.N.A.' album jacket featured on the Britney fan website BreatheHeavy.com, Spears is making an appearance on the album's lead track, 'Girls Gone Wild.' How fitting!

Of course, the new song would be far from the first collaboration between Madge and Brit. The pop icon and her unofficial protege kicked off their nearly decade-long relationship with the now-infamous kiss at the 2003 MTV VMAs. That same year, Spears recruited her idol for a guest spot on her 'In the Zone' hit single, 'Me Against the Music,' as well as its sweaty dance-centric music video.

Five years later, Spears and Madonna teamed up for another live performance. This time, Brit joined Madonna for her Sticky & Sweet tour stop in Los Angeles, where the dynamic duo dueted on Madonna's 'Human Nature' (pictured above).

If the album jacket is authentic, Britney will join her Femme Fatale tour opener Nicki Minaj, as well as M.I.A., who are both featured on Madonna's lead single 'Give Me All your Luvin'.' Multiple sources have previously reported that the bird-flipping M.I.A. will also appear on the album's track 'B-Day Song,' and the leaked jacket suggest the same.
