Madonna Super Bowl Sound Off: Singer 'Wasn't Happy' About MIA's Bird Flip

Jeff Kravitz | FilmMagic

It's been almost a week since Madonna's halftime show at the Super Bowl -- and for the most part, the reviews have been positive. However, the one dark cloud hovering over Madge's sporty triumph came courtesy of her duet partner, MIA. In case you missed it, the always-edgy rapper used her turn in front of the cameras to flip the middle finger at the TV audience ... and Madonna is none too pleased about it!

During an interview this morning (Feb. 10) with Ryan Seacrest, Madge admitted that she "wasn't happy about" the MIA bird flip. The Material Girl went on to slam the actions of her 'Give Me All Your Luvin'' collaborator, calling them a "teenager, irrelevant thing to do."

Ironically, the always-controversial Madonna played her first Super Bowl performance pretty safe. After weeks of speculation as to what stunts Madge may pull, the mother of four stuck to singing her old classics like 'Open Your Heart,' 'Express Yourself' and 'Like a Prayer.'

Sorry, I thought it wasn't a good show. It was like it was in slow motion.

I tend to believe that that stunt was at the behest of the NFL. I love foottball, but the NFL is in it to make money, and what sells better than a good scandal, especially to non-football fans, or have we forgotten the "wardrobe malfunction" so soon?

Why should it surprise Madonna that MiA gave the middle finger? She gives one in Madonna's video at the 2:17 mark? Another way to get press. But I still love Madonna ;-)

I think she's pretty low class. If she does something like that at a concert, fine, the people paid to see her and they know what to expect. To do it publically like that is very offensive. Like I said..low class.

I fixed second half goodies and talked to friends as opposed to watching Madonna and MIA mess things up. I came to see football and not a pair of has beens trying to revive their careers. I would have rather seen the first half highlights on television rather than the network and the NFL forcing the television audience to endure what the people in the stands had to.

And Madonna performs a satanic ritual in front of the world and nobody cares!

the middle finger event was in really poor taste.

the half-time show was boring - time for madonna to retire.
