Nicki Minaj, Grammys 2012: Rapper Rocks Red Robe, Rolls in With 'Pope'

Either Nicki Minaj has found religion, or she's really, really trying to make an impression. Arriving earlier this evening at the Grammy Awards, the rapper rocked a red Versace robe -- part Little Red Riding Hood, part priestess -- and strolled in with a dude dressed like the pope.

"It was the egg moment of the year," the commentators on E! said, referencing Lady Gaga's infamous arrival at the 2011 ceremony.

Our best guess: Minaj has been spending too much time with her Super Bowl teammate Madonna, the queen of religious controversy.

I never watch award shows but my friend was over last night and wanted to check out the Grammy's so I put it on. I was doing pretty good with all the talent...pulled up some old school bands...Beach Boys...Paul McCartney (who I didn't think choose the best songs)...but then, this chick Nicki comes out and both of us were absolutely disgusted. What a bummer...

I think Nicki Minaj lost her mind! The whole awards show was really great until her and I turned the channel until she was over. I just don't think her performance was in good taste and I am sure it affended alot of people

Completely tasteless and not the least bit amusing. Just another talentless individual that has to rely on shock value for popularity. And this will surely pander to the idiots. If she made fun of some muslim would you print it? Would she have the balls to even do it? No talent and no balls.
