As reported by The BoomBox, singer Bobby Brown has felt the impact of Whitney Houston's death most, considering he was married to the brilliant vocalist for almost 15 years. The New Edition frontman kept himself out of the eyes of the press immediately following his ex-wife's passing but is now speaking out on the tragic event.

"I am deeply saddened at the passing of my ex-wife, Whitney Houston," the Massachusetts native told People magazine. "At this time we ask for privacy, especially for my daughter, Bobbi Kristina."

When Brown heard the news that Houston's body was found in a bathtub in a room at the Beverly Hilton hotel in L.A., he was scheduled to perform at a concert in Mississippi. The 43-year-old attempted to finish his set -- he did 10 songs over the course of an hour -- but appeared visibly shaken onstage before calling it quits.

Remembering Whitney Through Photos

His daughter, Bobbi Kristina, was taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in L.A. Sunday morning (Feb. 12) to be treated for stress and anxiety as a result of her mother's death. She has since been released.

I agree that it doesn't matter how she died I always called her an angel with her beatiful voice from god and now she is.I believe that God saw her suffer and in pain and said I'll bring you to a better place where there is only love, peace and happiness.Don't dwell on her addiction the whole meaning is she is going to always be loved and missed. My deepest condolences to her daughter who is as beautiful like her mother and to her family. I know from experience how hard addiction is God brought me into recovery from hell but everyday it try;s to make me return the disease of addiction does not disscriminate.

BOBBY BROWN DESTROYED HER LIFE! He's a thug who brought only pain, disgrace, and violence into her life. Whitney was raised with dignity, religion and grace and when he came into her life he was emotionally abusive. Which made her life visably miserable. He should feel EXTREME guilt for ruining her life!

RIP, Whitney. This is a tragic thing, but God wanted her home with Him. It really isn't anyone else's business how she died. Only that of her family. The media should leave the family alone.
