Solange, now 25, gave birth to son Daniel Julez Smith Jr. in October 2004 at the young age of 18. Big sister Beyonce, 30, is tending to her newborn daughter Blue Ivy Carter, whom she gave birth to on January 7, 2012. And while new auntie Solange is excited to welcome baby Blue Ivy, she is adamant she won't be dishing out tips to her famous sister. "It's really important for every mother to find their own way," she tells Rollacoaster magazine.
Solange continued, "I think it's the most annoying thing when you're a new mom and you're getting so much advice from other mothers! You just have to feel it out for yourself." We wonder if grandmama Tina Knowles agrees with that statement!
She goes on to speak about the joys of becoming a first-time aunt, saying, "[Being an aunt is] very different to being a mother, but there's still that sort of magnetic bond and love that you can't even put words on to describe. It's really special to have a niece because I have a son, so I get to have a little girl, too."
