Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston Funeral: Ex-Husband Officially Invited to Ceremony

Contrary to previous rumors that Whitney Houston's ex-husband Bobby Brown was banned from the late icon's invitation-only funeral by her disapproving family, new reports claim that the R&B singer has in fact been invited to attend the ceremony tomorrow (Feb. 18).

"He is not being banned. That's completely untrue," a family source told People. "Bobby will be there at the funeral to support his [and Houston's] daughter [Bobbi Kristina Brown, 18]. There was some talk ... some people were angry at him, but that's just grief. He will be there," a family friend added.

Indeed, many have attributed Whitney's tragic downfall to Brown's negative influence and hard-partying ways during their tumultuous 15-year marriage, but it looks like her family and friends will have to put their opinions aside as they gather to mourn her death.

Not only will Brown be there for the funeral, lending his support to daughter Bobbi Kristina, but he will also be performing with his original New Edition bandmates in a concert that same night, just hours after Whitney is laid to rest! Brown's rep confirms the singer will hit the stage at Connecticut's Mohegan Sun Arena tomorrow night. Brown, of course, fought back tears as he performed on the very night Whitney was found dead (Feb. 11).

Speakers set to pay tribute to Whitney during the televised and live-streaming Newark, N.J. funeral tomorrow include Clive Davis, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and Kevin Costner.

Somethings are better sadead!!!...In spanish there is a speach mother's always tell their kids. And that is ...Si por tu gusto encuentras la muerte, que la muerte le sepa a gloria!! so, in a nut shell, what that means is, if by pure enjoyment you find death, may death be a joy. Witney's death was not caused by anyone. She choose that for her self. Drug dealers will always pray on the weak. A far as Bobbi Brown, he should have been banned from the funeral. He has not only made himself a F__ __ k up but, him and Witney made sure to also bring their daughter into this....As parents, they sucked!! Please let's not idolize her!! insead, feel the pain that their daughter must be going thru...being in such a disfunctional family. I will admit, I have wanted to get drunk a couple of times, especially those days where 24 hours, are just not enough. But, I don't I make choices that will effect my family and those whom I love. Love is not just saying I love you but, showing love. As a mom, I feel we are responsible for being role models to our children and those kids aound us. We are nurturer's and that is why God chose us to have a uterus and carry a child til birth. Sorry but, let's remember Witney's great voice and that's all. Let's pray, that her child never follow's her mother's foot steps.
For all those whom are getting high and drunk right now, make the choice and get HELP!!! life is to precious..don't waste it....

Whitney Houston confessed to Diane Sawyer that she was the devil. She also stated in that interview that she was a child of God. That’s very confusing. You have to be one or the other.

People should stop judging and try to put yourselves in their place. Nobody knows the real truth about Whitney Houston and the pressures she had. Apparently she had personal problems but she was a true talent who contributed something positive to society by way of her music. She has help to shape the music industry and influenced some of the artist we listen to today. For those who are Christian in this country the bible says "the wages of sin is death". She has paid her price ....we are left to pay ours. For those who are not Christian just think you too may have or will make mistakes. The only difference for most of us is we don't have the world exploiting our mistakes like it was done to many like Whitney Houston....Michael Jackson...Elvis Presley and many others who died before their time. So people stop judging and be real with yourselves!
