Janet Jackson Drug Encounter at Age 10: Singer Reveals Early Exposure to Cocaine

Janet Jackson has admitted that she got her first glimpse at drug use as a very young child during her visits to see big brother Michael Jackson in New York. By 10 years old, Janet was already dancing alongside hard-partiers at the popular nightclub Studio 54!

The child star would take trips to the Big Apple to visit her superstar older brother in between filming her hit TV show 'Good Times' in the '70s. "[I] used to go to [Studio] 54 a lot," Janet, now 45, told CNN's Anderson Cooper. "I would be on hiatus from 'Good Times' and my mother said, 'What do you want to do?' and I would say, 'I want to go to New York and visit Mike.'"

Janet admits that it was at the famed Manhattan hot spot that she saw fellow club-goers using drugs. "I was 10 ... at 54 dancing. You know it was the first time I ever saw drugs. I couldn't figure out why people were putting flour up their nose. I thought that was the stupidest thing," Janet admitted jokingly.

As funny as her pre-pubescent interpretation is, Janet is of course feeling the pain of the dangers of cocaine. She is currently mourning the death of Whitney Houston, whose long battle with drug and alcohol addiction, finally caught up with her. "I don't think there will be another like her, honestly ... I don't think [another] Whitney is gonna happen again," Jackson told Prevention.

Recently Jermaine Jackson told an interviewer that his mother Katherine has no control over the twitter use of Prince and Paris. Seems Katherine had little control over her ten year old daughter Janet to allow her an evening at Studio 54. Janet needs to keep her usually silent mouth closed at this time. She had plenty to say about her brother Michael after his death, intervention here, intervention there, but as the years pass we find the Jackson family didn't do a damn thing to help their son and brother. Can't figure out why Michael left his kids to his mother knowing they would be raised in that same environment that he railed about the latter years of his life. Just shows he really had no one he could trust.

Janet Jackson's memory seems a bit bad....maybe she has already forgotten being married to one of the hard-drug using DeBarge boys.

Unfortunately, the stress of stardom puts all celebrities at risk, and it only takes one try to become hooked. I am a physician, and I know that the very rich and the very poor receive the worst medical care. I believe her physician was possibly an enabler. Friends and family can also be enablers because they don't want to say "enough" and loose their free ride. If her physician had said no, she might be alive today, or she may have just found another one to say yes! I had a famous person come to me with their list. They carefully read all of the things they wanted me to do for them, such as complete a form to get weight lost surgery, when they were not overweight, etc. I waited for them to finish, then I took the list as they offered it to me, and tore it up and told them that I was the wrong person for them. I then told them why, I did not agree with anything on their list, and then inquired about the basic preventive health that their physician failed to ensure they had received, and of course they had not! I then proceeded to schedule the indivisual for a physical, colonoscopy and basic labs which they had not had in years. They were discovered to have diabetes, and other chronic illnesses they knew nothing about, simply because they were not being properly cared for! Now, this is one of my most faithful patients, because for me, money is not the priority. Medicine is a calling, a ministry, and I believe we have to answer to God for how we care for his people. I wish I had enough resources to really help celebrities identify good physicians, because most of the advice they receive from physicians on these reality shows are so substandard, is a shame and a disgrace to qualified medical professionals everywhere!.

I believe Whitney was supposed to sing for God by singing Gospel Music, she wasn't supposed to sing wordly music. She never belonged there and that was reason for her being lead into a life with the wrong man and drug abuse. She drugs used drugs as a way to cope with the pressures of Hollywood like many others. But in the end she is with God and he gets the Glory.

There are times in everyone's life, no matter who you are, that you may be faced with choices. It's up to you to take them or not. As a layperson, when faced with the offering of drugs, I said "no" and never looked back. Because I could. If I were an entertainer, doing several shows a day in several cities a week, add on tv appearances within that week, charities, traveling, family/mate etc., etc., and I had the same decision - maybe I could say no at first, but then, it would be very hard. It's very sad that addiction hits these folks, and they try to get out once in, but its hard, hard, hard. Some make it, some make it for a while, but it eventually catches up with them. My heart goes out...but good luck in trying to stop, and once stop, I pray that physically their abused bodies and organs can meet the stress of quitting.

Yeah, wow Whitney was friends with everyone it would seem. So where were all of these friends over the years while she was slowly killing herself with drugs?

What this woman won't do to stay in the news. So what she was 10 when she first saw drugs. Why would her mother take her to a club at the age of 10? If not for the ddeath of Whitney Houston, we would never have known this and we certainly wouldn't care. Janet Jackson is a lying pig.
