Simon presented the idea in a recent tweet, writing, "Maybe the winner of The X Factor Usa this yr should compete with winner of The Voice & Idol in a super final. Just a thought. I'd be up for it." Naturally, the always outspoken Levine had a response for the competitive TV boss on behalf of 'The Voice' -- and he was not too taken with the idea.
"Simon's just so clever. He's so hell bent on competing with other shows," he told Access Hollywood. "We're not really interested in a way ... That's kind of a cool idea, actually, but I'm not so sure we're totally interested in what everyone else is doing," he added, insisting 'The Voice' is different from its competitor shows.
Levine continued, "We're just kind of worrying about what we do 'cause we all know the more we worry about everybody else, the more the quality of what you're doing tends to suffer. So, we want to just do what we do."
Meanwhile, 'The Voice' Season 1 winner Javier Colon was all about Simon's offer. "So @simoncowell recently proposed a face off btw Idol/Xfactor/Voice winners I respect the other winners a lot but if U want a battle I'm IN!" he tweeted.
