Apparently the recently engaged pop star wants a new job to go along with her new marriage, but will Simon go for the idea? There's been no news yet if team Spears and team Cowell have actually sat down for a chat about the possibility, but we love the idea of the bubbly Southern gal sitting alongside the notoriously icy critic and music executive L.A. Reid.
While she's not exactly known for her huge vocal range (à la Christina Aguilera), there's no denying Brit's pop music prowess and huge popularity. She would certainly help contribute to Simon's lofty viewership goals for the show.
Britney was also featured in the 'X Factor's commercial with Pepsi that aired throughout the show's premiere season on FOX. The ad highlighted Brit as well as Michael Jackson, Kanye West, and Mariah Carey as examples of music superstars with "the X factor."
