If those lyrics don't immediately spark images of spunky cheerleader Toni Basil in your mind, well ... you probably weren't around in the '80s. But for those of us who were, Basil's iconic video for her biggest hit is as synonymous with that decade as pet rocks or Pac-Man.
Undoubtedly her biggest Billboard achievement, Basil's 'Mickey' went platinum or gold in the U.S., England, Australia and Canada. The song also knocked Lionel Richie off the Hot 100's #1 slot in December of 1982 -- which was a pretty big deal back in those days!
