Now, six months later, Mel is showing off her successful weight loss with fabulous cover story in Australia's Woman's Day Magazine. According to the Spice Girl, she's lost over 33 pounds through Jenny's meal plan, as well as regular exercise. "The six-pack is back!" Mel joyfully tells the mag. "I'm the same girl from 15 years ago. Losing weight has made me the best mom possible. My energy's up!"
For her magazine shoot, Mel tried on numerous outfits -- including one designed by her spicey bandmate Victoria Beckham. And with her newly svelte frame, the singer had no trouble shimmying into the small sample size. "I didn't have to squeeze into it, there was no huffing and puffing, and I didn't have to put on a gazillion pairs of Spanx underneath," laughs Mel. "I don't even have to constantly suck my stomach in."
Now that she's reached her goal weight, Mel has a new goal in mind -- reclaiming all the clothes her oldest daughter, Pheonix, 16, had "stolen" during her pregnancy. "Well, the jeans were mine in the first place," Mel says of a pair of recently returned pants. "She stole them off me when I was pregnant, but now I fit back into them. So I'm taking them [her clothes] back, one by one."
Melanie's sporty bod and renewed energy couldn't have come at a better time. According to Mel, while the Spice Girls won't be performing this summer at the 2012 Olympics as previously reported, she's still hopeful for a reunion in the near future. Girl power!
