Whitney Houston Movie: Rihanna Talks Starring in the Biopic -- Potent Quotables

Jennifer Hudson is definiteyly the best one to play Whitney. She's already an oscar winner, so that puts her a cut above the rest. Also, we all know how Whitney looked. Paula Patton looks like a white girl, so she is definitely out. RiRi is an island girl, so she's out. The music should not be lip synched & Hudson is the only one who can put the Wheaties in Whitneys' songs like she did in her heyday. Hudson can blow you away with Whitney's songs.

Well, it's Jennifer Hudson for my money. She's already an Oscar winner & probably the only singer who could even come close to impersonating Whitney's golden voice in her heyday.

She Did Such an Amazing Tribute To Whitney & Her Loved One's & Fan's & Her Band & Back-Up Singer's & Her Mother & Her Beautiful Daughter, Bobby Christina, That No One Could Ever Even Have Come Close To Doing!; At The Music Awards! :) Jennifer Hudson Should Hold the Part Of Any Of Whitney's Movies! Or, How about Asking who her Daughter, Or Her Mother, & Her Aunts & God-Mother, Dionne & CeCe & Aretha, Etc.; Would Love To Have, In The Movie, To Portray Her Mom & Daughter & Niece, God-Daughter, Girlfriend to Ray Jay (Brandy's Brother) Etc. & See What They Feel!? After All, It Should Be There Call! After This Terrible & Tragic Sad Loss they have suffered & are & will ALWAY'S!; Be!!!

Zoe Saldana, Rihanna, jennifer Hudson, and Paula Patton DO NOT put anyone in mind of Whitney Houston at any age. The person who plays the part should be someone who at least matches her skin tone, body size, and facial features. Zoe, Rihanna, and definitely Paula Patton(too close to white looking) DO NOT FIT THOSE CHARACTERISTICS! They are too light brown. Whitney was a cinnamon (medium) brown complexion with smaller features. Jennifer Hudson is nice looking, but her features are NOT thin enough to play a convincing Whitney. Meagon Goode is the only one who comes the closest (of modern black actresses)with small facial features that could play a more convincing looking Whitney-she has similar facial bone structure and her physical build is similar to Whitney. All black people do not look alike-so any run of the mill black entertainer can't play another one of us.
I grew in the 1980s into my teen listening to Whitney. As an African-American female teen at that time, she was one who I idiolized...so only some highly close to her complexion, features and build should play her; NO ONE else mentioned would be a believeable candidate to do the role any justice. Light, medium, and dark complected African-American can not interchanged with each other--as some in the mainstream think. For example:
It is like when Halle Berry played Dorothy Dandridge; she was the ONLY one who has a similar skin complexion, physical build, and facial features that made her a convincing Dorothy. Ebony Magazine did a side by side photo comparison with both women, and Halle was an exact ringer for Dorothy. Angela Bassett(not that she was up for the role) couldn't have played that part because her skin tone, physical build, and facial features would not have made her convincing--this is my point!! Meagon Goode is the best choice--unless another actress or another singer comes along that is a ringer for Whitney Houston. I am still tripping over the Paula Patton, Rihanna, and the Zoe Saldana--NOT EVEN CLOSE!!! They are gorgeous, but they are NOT Whitney look-a-likes! That would be a waste of film! Some of you on the blog need your eyes checked!

No!! No!! Why cast a singer? Whitney's voice is too unique. Cast an actor and let her lip sync to Whitney's actual tracks. That is the way many biopics have been done when you have an unmatched voice. Jennifer Hudson and Meagan Good are both beautiful women, but they are not the right type. Zoe Saldana is an excellent actress and she looks the most like a young Whitney.

Actually, playing a singer would be a very major stretch for Rihanna since she clearly is not a singer.
