Jessica Simpson Baby Birth Surprise: Fiancé Buys Lavish Gift for Star as 'Push Present'

In just a few short weeks, Jessica Simpson will be giving her unborn child the gift of life. And on that day, Jess will be getting a gift of her own! According to HollywoodLife.com, Simpson's finance Eric Johnson has splurged on a "push present" for the star -- reportedly dropping $30,000 dollars on jewelry for the mommy-to-be!

But this is no ordinary jewelry from Zales. Johnson apparently ordered the bling from Jessica's favorite jeweler in Capri, Italy -- where the couple recently spent a romantic vacation together. "He got in touch with the store in Capri because he knew that would be really meaningful to Jess," an insider tells the web site. "They shopped there on her 30th birthday, which is when they first talked about spending the rest of their lives together."

Apparently Jess doesn't suspect that Eric is planning such a thoughtful surprise post-labor (well, until now that is). "He made a big deal about how ridiculous he thought the idea of push presents was, so she has no idea that she's getting anything at all," said the source.

"He loves to surprise her, which is why he's pretending he hasn't got anything, but he's actually planning to totally spoil her," the insider continued. "He didn't just get her one thing -- he really went crazy!"

So what exactly can Jess expect when she opens her post-baby present? Johnson reportedly plans to lavish his lady with several platinum bracelets, a matching necklace with a huge amethyst and a band that will be engraved with the baby's birth date.

"He's so excited he's been telling practically everyone!" claims the source. How sweet!

Hopefully Eric remembers to wrap the gift with pink paper. Besides it being Jessica's favorite color, numerous reports are claiming that she's expecting a little girl!

Why is this idiot telling everyone if it is supposed to be a surprise? He used her money to buy the gifts, too since he is unemployed. I think he knew if he could get her pregnant he'd be set for life since she is worth a lot of money. She does have a successful fashion line and he has what??
