Video: 'Watching You Watch Him'
Why We Love It: For a song about unrequited love, 'Watching You Watch Him' sure inspired a chipper video. As Hutchinson strums his acoustic guitar and sings about a girl who loves another guy, a roomful of pretty people dance it up, going from 'Swingers'-style twirling to old-school pop-clip choreography. It's light and silly, even though the words are sad.
"'Watching You Watch Him' is about being in love from afar," Hutchinson says. "I always love songs that feel happy but have more complicated lyrics if you dig a little deeper. When we shot the video, that's what we focused on, the happier side to a complicated feeling. It was an amazing day, in the heart of Hollywood, with these incredible dancers interpreting the music. They were so great, I want to bring them on tour!"
Watch Eric look on the bright side below! And keep an eye out for his new album, 'Moving Up Living Down,' due April 17.
