Why We Love It: When Katy officially debuted 'Part of Me' at the Grammys, we knew the song would be an instant hit. With relatable lyrics coupled with a catchy tune, the song that describes the agony of a breakup was actually written by Perry years ago, and is not (as previously rumored) about her ex-husband, Russell Brand.

The video, however, was filmed after Katy's split from Brand -- and the pain of her divorce definitely shines through in her acting throughout the visuals. At the start of 'Part of Me' Katy acts out a breakout scene before launching into a raw performance that follows the singer from cheated-on lover to empowered G.I. Jane.

I liked Arlo Guthrie's attitude to war, in Alice's Restaurant, much better.

I barely knew Katy Perry exhisted until this video. I always thought she was just another celeb freak. The fact that she did this video makes me rethink what she may be all about. You know she is going to take some flak from her hollywood / celeb peers. Good for Katy for doing a project like this, I hope her career doesnt pay to big a price. This Naomi Wolfe is an @$$, but it shows you how the elites and celebs feel about anyone who breaks their ranks.
