Ricky Martin posed with his 3-year-old fraternal twin boys, Matteo and Valentino, for the cover of Vanity Fair Spain's April issue. Inside the magazine, the Puerto Rican singer, now a Spanish citizen, opened up on the country's stance on gay marriage, his relationship with his egg donor, and his past romances with women.

The 40-year-old star, who is raising his sons with longtime boyfriend Carlos González Abella, spoke out on Spain's law authorizing same-sex marriage and how that freedom is now being challenged before the Constitutional Court. "If they touch [the law], now as a Spanish citizen, I would stand up and unite with my community," Martin insisted.

The 'Evita' star was also quite candid about having sons via a random egg donor, fertilized by his sperm and implanted into a separate surrogate. "I saw the photo and I said to myself: Who is this woman, so angelic, so transparent? I did not rent a womb," Ricky insisted of using a surrogate. "That expression is used by fundamentalists. They loaned me an abdomen ... I would give my life for the woman who helped me bring my sons into this world."

The singer, who did not publicly come out until March 2010, also commented on his past relationships with women, revealing, "I've slept with women and I've fallen in love with them and I've felt wonderful things. There was love, passion. I don't regret anything, any of the relationships I've lived, they taught me a lot, both men and women equally."
