The couple's driver slammed up against a vehicle being driven by former Taking Back Sunday and current All-American Rejects bassist Rubano, who was picking up his girlfriend, Jennifer Charlton, at LAX. "Matt was stopping to get me and the driver drove around and [scraped] the back left side of my car, above the tire," Jennifer told Life & Style. Apparently, pregnant Mrs. Lachey was not too happy about the fender bender, despite the fact that she and future baby Lachey were unharmed. We'll blame it on the pregnancy hormones!
"Matt went to the window; he was like, 'Dude, you hit my car!'" Jennifer recounted. "She [Vanessa] did not seem happy. I guess you might not be happy in that situation," she explained, before quickly pointing out, "But they hit us."
Even more upset than Vanessa was her driver, who caused the crash. "He was really shaky and nervous because Nick and Vanessa were in the back of the car and he had to do all of this paperwork," Jennifer said. "He was like, 'Do you know who I have in the back?' I felt bad for him."
Ironically, Jennifer was planning on selling her car next week, but insists she and her rocker beau have no hard feelings with the Lacheys over the collision.
