A concertgoer is in critical condition after being stabbed in the neck at a Jessie J gig. According to NME, the incident occurred around 11:40PM at Pulse nightclub in London just after Jesse had finished a high-energy set.

The show, sponsored by Blackberry, was filled with young fans, reality stars and rappers in order to promote the phone company's consumer division. However, the night didn't go as planned.

"Everyone tried to leave at the same time but the organizers weren't geared up for it and there was a huge rush to get to the cloakroom," London's Channel 4 correspondent Benjamin Cohen reports. "People were crying and quite a lot were being sick, whether from the blood or the alcohol."

During the rush to the doors, a man in his 30s was stabbed in the neck with a broken beer bottle. Officers have since arrested one unidentified man while questioning others until 2AM at the club. The victim is currently in critical condition at a London area hospital.

Violence and rap. This is nothing new. Most rappers are thugs themselves who just go up on stage and sell to other rappers in the audience.

This is EXACTLY the reason that a local showbar here in Montreal banned rap and hip hop performances in order to get its liquor licence back. This was done also under advisory from the local police.

This music is NOT what it used to be 20 years ago. The genre has sunk to new lows...and you can blame the "artists" for its downfall.

I've never heard of Jesse J. but anytime there's rappers around, there"s going to be problems. Guns, knives, fists, it doesn't matter, they're hoodlums and anyone going to the "concert" should expect trouble.

To many knives on the street is the problem! We need to ban knives or at least pass more knife laws. All knives should be registered to. What kind of civilized nation lets people walk around with knives? I mean if they're going to blame guns for crime then knives should be treated the same way. Never mind laying the blame on the criminal we need to blame the tool that was used in the crime instead.

No knife was involved. The article states a broken beer bottle was used for the stabbing.
