Adam Levine, Coachella 2012: Singer Slams Festival in Yet Another One of His Rants

Adam Levine may be the frontman of successful pop band Maroon 5 and a star coach on the hit singing competition show "The Voice," but that doesn't mean he can get past any velvet rope he wants. The opinionated singer is sounding off (surprise, surprise) against Coachella after his band wasn't invited to play at the California music festival.

Levine loves to court controversy. He's had beef with everyone -- and thing -- from Fox News and anti-gay-marriage Mexican restaurant owners to "American Idol"s Randy Jackson and celebrity fragrance lines. In his latest rant, the singer targets the hipster-packed 10-day Indio, Calif., festival that kicked off last weekend (April 13).

"Only thing better than going to Coachella? NOT going to Coachella!!!" Adam tweeted on April 15. "It's as if Coachella means 'place I need to go to find out what I'm supposed to be into,'" he added in another Twitter post the following day. It looks like Levine is suggesting music fans and celebrity attendees of the festival aren't able to otherwise form their own opinions about their tastes and preferences.

"Maybe I'm just bitter cause I've never been invited," Levine confessed.

Better luck next year, Adam. Although, we're not sure Coachella organizers will be so keen on recruiting you after this hissy fit!
