''When we learned that Dani married Kevin, our production team became curious about what life would be like for a young bride entering the excitement, and sometimes chaos, of a pop star's life," the show's executive producer Ryan Seacrest told EW of the series' potential drama. And what is reality TV without drama?
"The show will examine the ups and downs of Dani and Kevin's marriage, against the backdrop of their contrasting family cultures, traditions and individual careers,'' he added.
''The series presents a unique look at a young couple and their families from two entirely different worlds, one small town and one dealing with international fame, coming together as one and starting a whole new life together," Lisa Berger, president of entertainment programming for E! explained. ''Danielle is living a true Cinderella story after marrying into pop royalty, partnering in Kevin's larger-than-life career."
Kevin and Danielle met while they were on vacation with their families in The Bahamas in 2007, just a year into the Jonas Brothers' rise to pop superstardom. They were married in December 2009.
In addition to the couple's domestic life, the show will also chronicle Kevin's reunion with brothers and bandmates Joe and Nick as they record their fifth studio album following a recent hiatus from the studio. "Married to Jonas" debut on E! on Aug. 19.
