Jennifer Lopez, Twins 'Didn't Love Me': Singer Opens Up About Postpartum Paranoia

As Mother's Day approaches, celebrity mamas have opened up about their personal experiences raising children in the June issue of Redbook. One of those famous moms is Jennifer Lopez, who revealed that she suffered from a serious case of "the baby blues" after giving birth to twins Emme and Max.

"I remember after the babies were born, about seven to 10 days in, I was like, 'What is going on with me?'" J.Lo told the magazine. "I felt sad and depressed and thought the babies didn't love me." The singer turned to the popular parenting book, "What to Expect When You're Expecting" in order to figure out what was causing her postpartum paranoia.

"I actually remember picking up the book to try to see what was happening to me," Lopez revealed, "And it said how you have this huge hormonal drop about seven to 10 days after you give birth. It's called the 'baby blues.' But I just thought they didn't like me!" she admitted of her kids, now 4, with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

J.Lo stars in the forthcoming movie inspired by the Heidi Murkoff and Sharon Mazel book, alongside Cameron Diaz, Elizabeth Banks, Brooklyn Decker and Anna Kendrick. "What to Expect When You're Expecting" hits theaters May 18.

Recently, I saw Jennifer had the Grove. I new to L.A. and it was the first time I was there. I saw the red carpet and asked a clerk in one of the stores what was going on. He said, "Jlo is coming." To be honest I had to stop and think, "who's Jlo?" and then I remembered it was Jennifer Lopez. I decided to stay and get a glimpse of her. When she finally arrived I was very close to her as she walked down the red carpet. I saw her mouth the words" wow, I can't believe this." She seemed humbled and surprised that so many people were there to great her. She was saying these words to herself with no one to really hear her words. I am slightly deaf and work to read people's lips that is why I knew what she said. I had a different view of her in that moment.

I thought she would mention "Ben"dumping her. I like her, but she has more issues than Jennifer Aniston on moving from the past.

I find it very revealing to notice that she worried that "her children didn't love her". I've always believed that Lopez was a very self-centered person and this seems to support that. I think most new mothers might worry more about whether or not they love their children. I feel a little sorry for her children.

oh yea...so J Lo is depressed..awwww...she has children, had a husband and now a boy toy..a huge career, beautiful homes and a lot of money..yea I can see where she would be depressed..let's throw a fundraiser for her so she can get the much needed therapy..poor baby
