Hilary Duff, Baby Luca: New Mom Reveals Details of Labor With Overdue Son

Seven weeks ago, Hilary Duff gave birth to her first child, son Luca Cruz Comrie. And while the new mom doesn't mean to boast, she revealed on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that not only was labor with the four-days-overdue tot a breeze, but the infant is already on an ideal sleep schedule!

"I feel weird, because it seems like I'm bragging, but he sleeps from like 11 to six. It is possible, ladies," the 24-year-old singer/actress revealed. Apparently, little Luca has been a little angel all along. "It was very easy," Duff said of her labor and delivery. "I went into labor at about one in the morning and I very calmly had my bags packed and woke my husband up after about three hours of walking up and down my hallway. Then I'm like, 'Okay, it's time to go, let's go now.' We got in the car and drove to the hospital and that was it."

While bringing Luca into the world was no sweat, the event was not short on funny family moments. "We wait all day and everyone is hungry," Duff recalled. "We're southern and from Texas and my mom and sister actually went down to the commissary to the food court area," she said. Just as Hilary's family went to go stock up on snacks, it was showtime!

"I'm like, 'Now? Like now it's time to go?' I'm like, 'Call my mom, call my sister,'" Duff said. "Things start rolling and all of the sudden the doors bust open and my sister and my mom come flying in and they're like, 'We got barbecue chips and root beer, guys!' I'm like, 'What? I'm pushing!'"

Actually, it's refreshing to see a celeb not be electively induced or an elective c-section (or c-tuck). Kudos to her for going about it the old-fashioned way. Too many moms are more about their convenience and not enough about the well-being of their baby and celebs seem to set the pace.
