Russell Simmons, Rihanna: Mogul Comes to Singer's Defense, Slams Chris Brown Diss Track

As reported by The BoomBox, although Rihanna has adopted a blithely unconcerned attitude of late, the "Cockiness" singer has been notably quiet in response to the various barbs thrown her way by her ex, Chris Brown, and sometime beau Drake. However, hip-hop's elder statesman Russell Simmons has come to her defense, tweeting on Mother's Day (May 13) "Everyone needs to get off @rihanna's d--k..." and attaching a link to a two-paragraph missive he posted on his website.

Accompanied by "scandalous" photos from Rihanna's recent shoot with Terry Richardson, the post addresses the various members of the music industry who have been "recently talking about 'good girl gone bad,' Rihanna," and further chastises her critics and ex-flames et al for insulting the singer for behavior which they applaud themselves for.

"As far as I'm concerned, I don't see why everyone has their panties up in a bunch," Simmons begins. "It's just that she is out there allegedly f--kin' the rockstars of her dreams and you out there f--kin' groupies. You can't be mad that she was seen walking out of Ashton Kutcher's house late one night, cause you know if you were seen walking out of Adriana Lima's house late one night, you would be in the studio the next day rapping about it. I mean, you all got like 50 girls in your videos drooling over you and you dissing Rihanna? I can't blame a girl for being independent, having fun and living her life the way she wants to."

Uncle Rush then gives his statement some context, explaining that, having managed some of rap's first touring acts, he knows male artists' appetites first-hand (he also had a pretty legendary libido himself).

"Remember, I was a manager once and I have seen these types of young men on the road. I was with Run-DMC, the Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Whoodini [sic] and saw all of the girls after the show line up outside the dressing rooms. I mean, Whoodini even wrote a song about, 'I Am A Hoe' and went on to rap, 'I rock three different girls after every show.' So, I know how this shit works. You all got 10 times as many girls as Rihanna has men, and you know that. I love you guys, and this certainly ain't a diss, but I gotta keep it real."

Russell did NOT come to Rhianna's defense with his comments. He's basically saying, "so what if she wants to screw every rockstar she's dreamed of..." So, that makes her what...an A-lister hoe and the diss track should have been more specific with that she's not been had by just "anybody" but had by "rockstars"??? Hmmmmmmm.

I really like rihanna and all, but I can't believe that she is turning lesbian after the whole chris brown thing. I saw a crazy video on http://www.rihannales.celebsecretz.com with her and another girl going at it. It was crazy!
