Kelly Clarkson Weight Loss: Singer Shows Off New Body at ABC Upfront Party (PHOTO)

Kelly Clarkson once blasted her record company for "Photoshopping the crap" out of her on album covers, on account of her weight, but these days, that might not be such an issue. Last night at Entertainment Weekly and ABC's Upfront party in New York City, the singer showed of her newly slimmed down body, cruising down the red carpet in a colorful over-the-knee floral dress.

The former "American Idol" champ recently turned 30, and while she's always denied dieting or curtailing her eating to please critics, she's noticeably fitter and trimmer than she's been in months.

"I'm never trying to lose weight -- or gain it," she told Self in 2009. "I'm just being."

And she's doing a fine job of it.

As for why she was at the ABC soiree, Clarkson is promoting "Duets," a new reality singing show that pairs aspiring singers with resident superstars. Joining Clarkson on the show -- set to premiere May 24 -- are Robin Thicke, Lionel Richie and Jennifer Nettles.

Everyone is different so different types of diet plans work for each person. I eat five to six small meals per day to keep my metabolism going and I get about 45 minutes of cardio exercises in about three to four times a week. Foods that help me build muscle and burn fat are whole grains, fish or other foods high in protein. Fresh fruits and vegetables curb my sweet cravings and they improve my overall immune system. Many celebs eat 30 percent of carbs, 30 percent of proteins and 40 percent of fats in which seems to help me also.
