Justin Bieber, his Hunger Games-obsessed "Call Me Maybe" pal Carly Rae Jepsen, Nelly Furtado and Marianas Trench have just been added to the list of marquee Canadians performing at the chaotic street party/award show known as the MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto on June 17.

The MMVAs will also feature performances by the newly goth Katy Perry and party shufflers LMFAO with the awards doling and live performances spread across various stages in and around the iconic MuchMusic building and nearby downtown Toronto streets.

"I'm so excited to be coming back home for this year's MMVAs," said Bieber. "It's an honor to be nominated and performing. I can't wait!"

Jepsen, meanwhile, is also considering the show a homecoming.

"The last couple months have been madness," she said. "I can't wait to come home and play a show where this all began at this year's MMVAs. Can't wait to see everybody!"

The event, which is considered one of the biggest parties on the Canadian music calendar each year, attracts tens of thousands who essentially shut down the neighborhood streets for the whole day. It's free to attend the awards, although to actually get in the Much building or get close to the main stage you need to win a coveted MMVA wristband. The MuchMusic folks say this year wristbands will be given away via its New.Music.Live program starting on June 8.

Past MMVA performers have included the likes of Drake, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and, perhaps most famously, Lady Gaga debuting her exploding boobies.
