Madonna, Swastika Stunt Enrages French Politician Marine Le Pen (VIDEO)

Madonna has been known for courting controversy throughout her illustrious career as a pop icon -- and judging from her latest political statement, she doesn't plan to let up anytime soon. Prominent French politician Marine Le Pen is outraged after Madonna projected a doctored photo of the conservative figure with a swastika over her forehead on a giant movie screen during the first stop of her MDNA tour in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Le Pen, president of the right-wing French political party Front National, is threatening Madonna, 53, over the defamatory stage stunt. "We understand how old singers who need to get people talking about them go to such extremes," the 43-year-old politician told The Daily Mail Online. "If she does that in France, we'll be waiting," Le Pen responded when asked if she would take legal action against the pop star.

Marine is the daughter of her party's former leader, Jean-Marie Le Pen, a Holocaust denier who has been accused and convicted several times at home and abroad of antisemitism. However, Marine has often distanced herself from her father's more controversial views in a bid to improve the party's image.

"We are not a Nazi party, and object to being depicted as such," another member of the National Front insisted. "If Madonna repeats this slur in France then she will certainly be taken to court."

The party's lawyer, Wallerand de Saint-Just, confirmed he was considering legal action against Madge.

I get the point of the video and the song..not that I listen to her music anymore.And last time I checked...they still have free speech in the UK right?...what about France?..shrugs...she should be allowed to showcase her art as she sees fit{if you dont like it...dont watch..}

She's always been an embarrassment to women. Probably why most of her fan base is homosexual men. No offense. Just stating a fact. I can't believe she hasn't grown up yet. It's one thing to do crap like that here in the U.S. (free speach an all) but you don't go to another country and insult their politicians. She's still an idiot. I'm far from a buttoned up prude and I've alwasy found her to be disgustingly slutty. Have you ever seen her interviewed? If Madonna makes a decision to place a Natzi sign above her head all the more power to her. The "memories may still be strong and hurtful" but she's letting the world know that we should NEVER forget what the Natzi's did, not only to Jews, but to the disabled, Catholics etc., etc.,etc., and for Le Pen, and her family to deny that the Holocaust ever happened proves how ignorant and stupid these people are. Madonna "too old" to perform is also a ridiculous statement, as long as she can perform at the energy level that she does she should never stop. Yes, she's controversial, but she has the guts to not hide behind anything or anybody .If Le Pen doesn't want any publicity anywhere, she should stay out of the public eye and zip it.
