Hilary Duff: Baby Luca Made My Marriage 'Stronger'

Hilary Duff and her former NHL-player hubby, Mike Comrie, are closer than ever these days, thanks to their new son, Luca! After tying the knot in August 2010, Duff says, welcoming her first child has only made her marriage "stronger."

"Having a baby is a lot of hard work and you really depend on each other for a lot," the 24-year-old told Hollyscoop.com of becoming a first-time parent with Comrie, 31. "There is so much love ... you can't imagine it until it happens to you and you look at your husband and you're like 'we did this together,'" she gushed. "It's a really beautiful thing and we are enjoying it. There are no words."

Not only has the 10-week-old tot breathed new life into his parents' relationship, he's given his singer/actress mama a new sense or self-worth, too! "There is so much purpose now, there was before but it is just on a whole other level there is so much joy and excitement every single day," Duff said. And it looks like she plans to bring even more purpose to her life -- the star admitted her plans to give Luca a sibling! "Of course [we want more kids], but we are going to enjoy this one first," she confessed.

Hilary went on to reveal why she opted to debut her baby boy via Twitter photos, rather than sell the images to one of the high-bidding celeb magazines, as so many other famous couples do. "I understand why people sell photos and hopefully give the money to charities, we got those offers too and I just didn't want to do that," she admitted. "This is our child and we really wanted to start off protecting him. I tweeted pictures of him and showed him to the world in that way. We are trying to give him the best chance to have a normal start."

The new mom, who has already been bullied for her lingering baby weight, also told the website all about her post-pregnancy workout routine. "I spin a lot. I am really addicted to spinning, and I just started doing circuit training with my trainer and I do Pilates. I am active. I hike. I live in a community that has lots of hills so I am pushing Lucca around a few times a week we go on a hike."
