Jada Pinkett, Willow Smith Duet? Mother Hopes to Record Rock Song With Daughter

If her mother gets her wish, Willow Smith could go from "Whip My Hair' to headbanging. As Contact Music reports, Jada Pinkett Smith is keen on hitting the studio with her pop-star daughter and recording a rock track.

"Willow and I definitely talked about doing something," said Jada, who famously fronted the heavy metal band Wicked Wisdom. "My music is like my freedom space. But Willow and I definitely talked about doing a collaboration."

"She really loves rock music, so she wants to come on and get crazy with me on a track," Jada added. "Which I would love, because she has a fantastic voice."

As for when the mother-daughter metal confab could take place, it may depend on Willow's schedule. Theirs is a musical family -- Willow's father, of course, is Will Smith, and her brother is the rapper Jaden -- and the next few months look pretty booked up.

"[Willow] has new music that's coming out this summer and she'll be jumping back on tour," Jada says. "So you can expect some new tracks coming from Willow and Jaden. And I think they're doing a tour this summer as well."
