Similar to the status updates in the lyric video, the "Wide Awake" trailer divides Katy's past few years up into chapters in a book of fairy tales. A little girl flips through the pages in a fantastical garden setting, revealing stills from Katy's "Teenage Dream," "Firework," "E.T.," "Last Friday Night" and "The One That Got Away" videos. Each Teenage Dream album single represents a different chapter.
"The Final Chapter" brings us to the "Wide Awake" video itself. Images of Katy eating a "poison strawberry," a "curious cat," and a questionable "Prince Charming" character flash across the screen. The full video premieres Tuesday, June 19 on MTV. Until then, watch the trailer below!
