John Mayer, Jennifer Lawrence: Singer Spotted Flirting Up a Storm With Hollywood It Girl (REPORT)

After recently blasting his former girlfriend Taylor Swift for writing a "humiliating" breakup song about their romance-gone-wrong, John Mayer may have his sights set on a new leading lady. According to a hilarious eye-witness report on RadarOnline.com, the embattled lover boy, 34, was allegedly spotted trying to charm 21-year-old "Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence!

Dressed in their finest Middle-Ages threads, the two stars were joined by an entourage of friends and spent the night at Los Angeles' Medieval Times this weekend. "It was almost like she was a little nervous being around him. She kept giggling and covering her mouth. It was cute," the source reported.

Apparently, John got so into the spirit of the show that he couldn't control his own Medieval urges. "John was eying-up Jennifer like he was a dog and she was a juicy pork chop!" the insider said. "When he lays on the charm he lays it on real thick!"

The Born and Raised creator reportedly pulled out all the stops, attempting to impress Lawrence with his dazzling wit, too. "He's really well read, so he kept using his knowledge of the Medieval era to make puns and crack everyone up," the source revealed. "He was even putting on an English accent at times and ordering 'beer-eth.' And apparently, that worked. "Jennifer thought he was a riot. It was like a freshman having a crush on the captain of the football team," the eye-witness reported.

Radar also claims that the pair was recently spotted out and about with fellow pal Zooey Deschanel on L.A.'s Melrose Avenue. But apparently, Mayer had more on his mind than just a shopping spree with his gal pals. "John could hardly take his eyes off Jennifer. It looked like he was totally smitten! At one point he was walking along behind her and massaging her shoulders."

It all sounds like the stuff of a budding Hollywood romance, but there's just one problem -- Jennifer has been serious with fellow actor Nicholas Hoult, 22, since 2011! If John's intentions with the actress are indeed other than platonic, there could be trouble ahead!
