The Wanted, Stage Fire: Boy Band's Guitarist Set Ablaze by Pyrotechnics

The Wanted stage fireGino DePinto, AOL

The Wanted set the stage on fire at a recent concert ... literally! The British boy band's dazzling concert pyrotechnics nearly cost the group's guitarist his head, as the unnamed musician's hair was set ablaze by the fiery special effects!

The Wanted member Nathan Sykes tells the U.K.'s Daily Mirror, "Our guitarist got set fire on tour. They were sending off these big pyros and he stood too close. He's got big hair and it set on fire."

No details yet on the victim's status, but we'll keep you posted. See the Wanted set the stage on fire (figuratively) with their super-hot performance for AOL Music Sessions below!

That's one way to get rid of those boy bands.

Didn't they learn anything from Great White? I live in RI where the Station nightclub fire killed 100 people because of pyrotechnics. They should be outlawed

Oh please, Michael Jackson pulled this stunt in the 80's. lol Sorry, needed to post one more "tasteless joke". This is what happens when you mix rock with fire.

No place for tasteless jokes here. What if it had been one of your family members? I heard enough tasteless commentary when that incident happend with Great White in Rhode Island nearly ten years ago. A little sensitivity would be a lot more appropriate.
