Not much is known about Sanchez' alleged role, but industry insiders speculate she'll either fill the void of top diva at McKinley High now that Lea Michele and Naya Rivera's characters have graduated OR show up at the New York Academy for the Dramatic Arts where Lea's character Rachel Berry is heading at the start of the season.
If Jessica scores this coveted role, it will mark her third foray into network television. Besides her time spent on 'Idol' this year, Sanchez was also a contestant on the very first season of the NBC hit, "America's Got Talent."
However, all this TV talk will have to wait a few months. Come July, Jessica will be crisscrossing the country with the rest of the top contestants from Season 11 on the Idols Live tour. Sanchez will also be busy this summer recording her very first CD. "I don't want people to just hand me music and be like, 'Here, you sound good on this. Sing it.' I want to be able to say, 'This is me,' " Sanchez told MTV News recently on her debut effort.
