Earlier this year, the veteran performer announced she would kick off a new concert series in September. However, Cher recently took to her Twitter page to reveal she would not be able to rock the live stage until she undergoes surgery. "About tour this yr [sic]. i broke Foot in 80'& between burlesque & falling on thrown hat on stage! I have 2 [sic] have minor work done on my foot!" she shared.
While the singer said there will definitely be a recovery period, she did not specify how long it will last and whether or not the aforementioned tour trek would be postponed as a result.
"It must have time to Heal b4 [sic] i go Running back & forth Across Stage like crazy teen! We r [sic] working on show & its Beautiful!" Cher wrote.
Cher also had news about her forthcoming 26th studio album -- yes, 26th! "Duet w/Gaga is Great! [sic] Think its 2nd single!" the icon said of her highly anticipated collaboration with Lady Gaga, "The Greatest Thing." Cher added that the as-yet untitled album's lead single will debut in September. The LP will be the legend's first since 2001's Living Proof.
