Kelly Osbourne, 'X Factor' Host? Ozzy's Daughter Is Network's Top Choice (REPORT)

FOX seems intent on hiring a female reality star to take over as host of "The X Factor," and while Khloe Kardashian was previously thought to be the frontrunner, Kelly Osbourne has now emerged as the network's top choice, Perez Hilton reports.

As a source points out, Kelly is uniquely qualified for the gig. She has plenty of TV experience -- her credits include "Fashion Police," "Project Catwalk" and of course, "The Osbournes" -- and she's released two albums, Shut Up and Sleeping in the Nothing.

"Everyone loved Khloe, but honestly, she doesn't have enough hosting experience," the insider told Perez. "Kelly, on the other hand, is pretty well-versed. Production is definitely leaning towards Kelly."

The daughter of metal god Ozzy Osbourne would join Demi Lovato, Britney Spears, L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell on the talent competition. The show's original host, Steve Jones, was canned after the first season, as were judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger.

It appears this show will be going off the air soon. No one will watch. Seems to be going from bad to worse. I know I will not be watching.

The show is most likely looking for someone that can get the ratings up and someone that knows a little about the music industry. I get sick of seeing them crying on the show. I know sometimes you develop a relationship with the singers but crying everytime you have to eliminate someone is crazy to me

Does her face remind you of the face on the dog that sits on the hood of Mack trucks?

Wow, you people are all so judgemental and snippy over who is a judge/host. You say she has no talent, no experience and no...well, anything, yet, she's the daughter of a rock GOD AND she's judged before. She is WAY more qualified than Britney or any Kardashian to do this. At least she can put up with Simon's bs, whereas I forsee Britney running off in tears because Simon calls her some sort of name. And as for controversial? WHICH ONE? Britney, Kelly, and the Kardashians all are controversial. You people are WAY too harsh of judges. Let's see you all judge, and see who doesn't have crap to say about you. *sigh* Sad, very sad.

The X Factor was a joke considering Simon had to go to FL and beg that young girl to come back. Granted, she was a terrific singer and earned the #1 place. Now is the second show of the X Factor, a $5 mil recording contract so you'd think the best would be there. I've been watching Duets and they have wonderful singers, mature but young people and well-known hosts. Every singer was a pro, although all of them are amateurs. The voices were so great, that even the ones sent home, were better than most of the talent on AI, AGT, and the X Factor. Spears is not to be considered by any means. Bikinis and blonde hair don't get the job done.
