Justin Bieber Sued for $9 Million

Justin Bieber is getting served big time. The Canadian pop star is being sued for $9 million for allegedly causing a concertgoer permanent hearing loss.

The plaintiff, Oregon resident Stacey Wilson Betts, claims the incident occurred at the "Boyfriend" singer's show in Portland, Ore. in July of 2010. In court documents obtained by TMZ, Betts says her hearing was permanently damaged when Bieber climbed into a heart-shaped gondola and traveled over the crowd.

According to Betts, Bieber "created a wave like effect of screaming by pointing into various sections of the arena. Then enticed the crowd into a frenzy of screams by continuously waving his arms in a quick and upward motion."

She continues, saying the gondola acted like a "sound conductor creating a sound blast that permanently damaged both of my ears."

Betts is not only suing Bieber, she's also named the singer's label, the concert promoter and the arena in the suit, claiming they are responsible for providing safe sound levels. The Oregan woman claims she now suffers from ringing in the ears, or tinnitus, which makes her hear a constant pulsing, whooshing sound.

As much as people dont like bieber..this one is not his fault. I agree with most poeople below...she decided to go to concert and she is the only one suing and the only one with hearing damage. She wants money. She will not get away with this and if she does, then there will be some angry people.

OMG if there are thousands of screaming fans & loud music why is "SHE" the only one with a problem? There must of been damage to her eardrums before the concert. Do people really expect a concert to be quiet or music played softly? She just wants money. If that's the case JB should be deaf he does it all the time.

Another ridiculous example of America's Judicial system allowing a frivolous case into the court system. It needs to be thrown out on day one. Justin Beiber should turn around and counter sue this woman for his court cost. Though it would probably be a waste of his time, since this woman probably has no money of her own.
