Madonna 'Glad' She Helped Lady Gaga Write 'Born This Way': Queen of Pop Takes Aim at Mother Monster

If we didn't know better, we'd think Madonna likes controversy. In recent months, she's exposed herself onstage and clashed with French politicians, and now she's reheating her beef with Lady Gaga over the alleged similarities between Mother Monster's smash "Born This Way" and her own 1989 hit "Express Yourself."

"I'm a really big fan of ['Born This Way']," Madonna said in a recent interview with a Brazilian talk show, Digital Spy reports. "I'm glad that I helped Gaga write it."

The quip comes months after video surfaced of Madge mashing up the tunes during rehearsals for her MDNA world tour. Gaga, meanwhile, has dismissed plagiarism claims as "retarded," and she's accused Madonna of "making a mockery" of her music.

We're sure the pop titans will settle this in a dignified, understated manner consistent with both of their careers.

I get Madonna WAS the Queen on Pop and broke record and stuff, but this is making her really insecure and its the only thing that will keep her in the news. Showing her ****.... showing her ass, bring machine guns on stage when government said not too because of Colorado, and putting a gun to her head after Colorado. WTF? She's trying to hard now, and her new album is awful.

I have FAR more respect for Lady Gaga than I EVER had for Madonna who, I always thought right from the very start, was a classless, foul-mouthed tramp who had the audacity to call herself "A good Catholic girl" after making horrible remarks, like the crucifix being "sexy" because it "has a half-naked man on it". Yeah, right. Oh, and the name "Madge" does indeed fit her to a tee.....she's aging horribly.....she LOOKS like her name is Madge!
