Katherine Jackson, Michael Jackson's Children Attend Unity Tour Concert Despite Ongoing Family Drama

AFP

Is there hope for the troubled Jackson family yet? According to TMZ, matriarch Katherine Jackson showed up last night (July 27) for a Unity Tour performance by the Jacksons in Saratoga, Calif., even though one of the group's members, Jermaine, is battling the estate of his late brother Michael.

What's more, Katherine reportedly arrived at the show with Michael Jackson's three kids -- Prince, Paris and Blanket -- in tow, earning a bit of applause for doing so.

Recent upheavals in the Jackson clan are hard to make sense of, but as TMZ helpfully reminds us, Jermaine stands opposed to his Jacksons bandmates -- Marlon, Tito, and Jackie -- on the issue of the King of Pop's estate. Jermaine has an ally in Randy Jackson, who took to Twitter recently to post a seven-point commentary on the matter, Contact Music reports.

In addition to accusing the executors of MJ's estate of "trying to isolate my Mother from her family JUST LIKE THEY DID TO MICHAEL," Randy said he fears "they are trying to take my mother's life."

His comments come after a bizarre series of events that include Katherine going "missing" in Arizona and police being called to the 82-year-old's home after an altercation initially thought to involve Janet -- who's on the side of Randy, Jermaine and Rebbie in this extremely complicated case -- and Michael's 14-year-old daughter Paris.
