Lady Gaga Fame Fragrance Ad: Singer's New Promo Inspired by Madonna?

After unveiling her first, predictably brow-raising advertisement for her debut fragrance, Fame, just a couple of weeks ago, Lady Gaga has shared the new promo photo for the perfume. Mother Monster tweeted a link to the new ad, which she posted on her social media site Littlemonsters.com. We can't help but mention that the image reminds us of a certain pop icon whom Gaga may or may not be feuding with.

The fashion icon's sleek and sexy ad for the first-ever black eau de parfum was styled by Brandon Vance and shot by Gaga's "Alejandro" video director, Steven Klein. The head-to-toe black latex bodysuit and dark lips, as well as the play with the mirror image, are reminiscent of Madonna in her "Human Nature" music video. Check out a couple of screen shots from Madge's 1995 visuals below.

This wouldn't be the first time we've seen Madonna's influence in Mother Monster's work. The two pop stars are currently in a bit of a war of words concerning Madge's persistent accusations that Gaga's "Born This Way" borrows heavily from her own 1989 classic, "Express Yourself."

The ad's photographer has actually worked quite extensively with Madonna. Madge was the subject of Klein's 2003 photo and video instillation "X-STaTIC PRO=CeSS," and Klein created backdrop videos for several of the singer's tours and contributed to many of her magazine photo shoots.

No. They both copied Bjork. In the nineties Bjork went through a monomaniacal phase, self kissing and self adoration pics & all! Also - please remember and or realize - that Bjork is the original pioneer of making couture fashion a norm - on the red carpet, et al. Please give credit where is due. The only thing new are the songs, photographers and venues. Keep it real................

Well, it’s that time of the year again. All of the big design houses are releasing their new designs to the hungry masses, and Gucci Handbags is no exception. Unless you have been stranded on a desert isle for the last thirty years, you have undoubtedly heard of Gucci Outlet. They have been reigning over the fashion world for a great many years, and not totally without warrant. Gucci makes top quality, stylish apparel and accessories for the distinguishing Gucci Handbags On Sale.

first off, both gaga and madonna are not lookers, buth look ike freaks....
second , nither one has a really great singing voice,
third , they both depend on shock and freak outs for their career and popularity
if they had to depend on talent both would be flipping burgers at burger king.

Gag Me's career is burning down quickly and will never last as long as Madonna. As for those that bring up her age, hope you don't ever get old since you find it wrong to do so. LMAO

I don't care what Lady Gaga does. I think she's a freak and a menace to our young children. I wouldn't let my grandchildren listen to her for anything!

How many artists have bitten off Madonna? She was and always will be the pioneer of craziness... Crossing the line when no other female artists would dare. Gaga has just bitten off of her more than anyone else. Imitation is flattery. We all know who the true originator is and always will be!

You are absolutely clueless as to how many stars MADONNA has bitten off. She's anything but the "pioneer of craziness".

It's strange that neither this article or any other mentions Madonna doing that. Like this most recent article, it is only Gaga that is getting caught doing it over and over again.

I agree 100%! Madonna has stolen from Monroe and Dietrich to Debbie Harry and even Ingmar Bergman! She's isn't original but very skilled at taking influences and images from other sources and marketing them to a naive audience.

Mr GaGa has based his entire career on ripping off Madonna. Personally, id rather have a Chain Saw Vasectomy than listen to either of them...

man, I am sick of these two. Just give them each some boxing gloves and let them settle it "man to man".
